Check Equipment |
Wheels should be chocked during pre-trip |
Ensure that people stand clear of crusher and packer
panels during operation. |
Ensure area behind truck is clear of objects and
people before opening tailgate. |
Ensure area around grabber arm is clear of objects
and people before using |
If raising
the packer body during equipment check, unit must be parked on level ground |
Always use safety prop if working under raised
packer body. |
Ensure tailgate lock pins are securely in place
before collecting garbage |
Use proper safe fuelling technique |
Do this to protect yourself when performing the work:

Operate truck from right hand stand-up side only
during collection of solid waste. |
Ensure that
mirrors are adjusted properly |
Do not exceed
20 km/h when driving from right hand stand up side |

collecting manually |
